We provide a wide range of services to the following prisons:
We provide mental health services to all of our Kent prisons and primary care services to Medway and west Kent prisons. In addition, we will also provide pharmacy services to all of our prisons in Kent.
The Greenwich Cluster will receive a full healthcare service, which will include: primary care, mental health, GP services, sexual health, substance misuse, IAPT, dentistry, optometry, physiotherapy, podiatry and pharmacy.
Our services will reach adult male and female offenders, young offenders and foreign nationals. Our services are inclusive of all offenders regardless of their status, for example those who are remanded, sentenced and those serving life terms. We also care for individuals who are subject to deportation.
Our aim is to provide quality evidence-based healthcare to offenders, creating a range of services and interventions that are comparable to services provided to the general public.
Every offender receives a healthcare screen upon reception, which determines not only physical health and wellbeing needs but also identifies any possible mental health issues and associated risks. Each offender under our care has a named key-worker and has a comprehensive care plan that is delivered by a range of specialist practitioners and that addresses their short, medium and long-term health needs.
We are currently recruiting for staff, please check our page on NHS Jobs
